| Hello to all friends and family
of the Riverfront Playhouse
|I am writing to inform everyone that the City of Aurora Liquor Commission
has issued a mandate that the Riverfront Playhouse must stop offering beer
and wine for donation and we can no longer allow our patrons to bring
their own liquor, wine or beer into the Playhouse.
The City of Aurora is our landlord and non-compliance with this mandate puts the Riverfront Playhouse at risk of fines and/or loss of our building lease. We are looking into liquor licensing options, but the rules, regulations, and requirements make it virtually impossible for our small volunteer organization to qualify.
We appreciate your support over the past 38 years and hope that this change will not affect the enjoyment you receive while at the Playhouse.
We also ask that you help us comply with the ban on BYOB. We really don’t want to become TSA screeners.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
